Happy Holidays

It's December 23rd and we can't imagine where the year 2009 went. 2010 is knocking on the door and we're not sure we're ready yet.

But, it will be here soon enough whether we are ready or not. Cornerstone Books will be presenting a number of events in 2010 that will revolve around the theme of prosperity and inner peace.

Fall Metaphysical Fair and Interfaith Canned Food Drive

Isn't this weather something? It's ironic that Halloween will be nice and clear this year...we got all the bad weather early. The little ones will just have to tunnel through the huge snow drifts!

This Saturday, 10/31/2009 Cornerstone will be hosting our Fall Metaphysical Fair. We'll have lots of selection for psychic readings, great store specials and refreshments for the Halloween holiday!

We also are hosting a canned food drive for Interfaith community services, so please bring what you can to help out!

The drive will be held at Cornerstone from 10/31/09 through 12/31/09. Interfaith is an emergency support system in South Denver to help children, homeless, low income and seniors. Lets help out our neighbors in need!

Cornerstone Books is excited to welcome our newest employee, Dorie.

Dorie will be taking over the management position because Mary will be leaving the store to start her teaching career with Denver Public Schools.

August Metaphysical Fair

Tomorrow, Cornerstone Books will be hosting a fun Metaphysical Fair from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Childrens Book Author Signing

Join us at Cornerstone Books for a local author signing with Julie Federico for her book, "Some Parts Are Not For Sharing." on Saturday August 8, 2009 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm.

"Travel with a pair of friendly fish as they learn about what parts of our bodies we share with others. Children will learn what the boundaries of appropriate touching are in a very non-threatening way. School Counselor Julie Federico begins the imperative conversation of personal boundaries in Some Parts are not for Sharing. Children will enjoy learning about their bodies as they get some important information from a pair of fish. Parents will marvel at the simple straightforward language and use of sea creatures that create this message all children must hear.

Julie Federico has been a middle school counselor since 1993. She holds a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's degree in counseling from Indiana University. She is also a certified, level III alcohol counselor in the state of Colorado. She knows first hand the ramifications of childhood abuse. Federico wrote Some Parts are not for Sharing as an early intervention strategy for young children, so they would not suffer in silence. Telling a trusted adult is the first step in stopping abuse.

Anthony Quinata

Psychic medium and clairvoyant, Anthony Quinata will be performing small group discernment's at Cornerstone Books on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30. Anthony has changed his policy this week, so this is the updated information.

Final Open Air Market For The Season

This Saturday, July 25, 2009, will be Cornerstone Books final open air marketplace for the season. It's been really fun and rewarding! Please come by for great store specials.

The market will offer Henna, gifts, Tie Dye, jewelry, used books and locally grown veggies!

Beginning Tarot

Come join us for a fun and informative class! Sara Beth Shepard has been studying tarot for over 35 years. She will be offering this introduction to tarot at Cornerstone Books on July 18th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The class is $30. Sara will have decks available for viewing during the class.

Sara will discuss the myths, history and layouts for readings.

July Metaphyical Fair

Cornerstone Books will be offering a metaphysical fair on July 11, 2009 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. We will be offering an assortment of psychic readers, chair massage, refreshments and store specials!

He's Back

Anthony Quinata - psychic medium and clairvoyant will be doing discernment sessions on Wednesday evenings again at Cornerstone Books. The fee for these sessions will be $20 a person.

This is an amazing deal considering that individual discernment's are regularly $120. The session will begin at 6:30 pm. Anthony will offer a talk/Q&A from 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm. Then there will be a short fifteen minute break. Discernment's will be an hour long between 7:30 - 8:30 pm.

Reservations are not required, but RSVPing is appreciated so we will know how many people to set the room up for.

Those receiving messages from loved ones who have crossed over will be picked at random and not everyone who attends the session will receive a discernment. However, everyone who does attend will be able to apply the $20 toward a private medium session with Anthony.

Starting this Sunday, Cornerstone Books will be open for business seven days a week!

By popular demand, we will now be open from 12:00 - 4:00 pm on Sundays.
